Наши замерзшие лица

Белели в тумане и ждали,

Месили глазами свет

И грязь последнего дня.

Мы долго на это смотрели,

Не помня, не узнавая,

Детали такого немыслимого,

Неведомого огня

Родившимся этой ночью,

Мы оставляем Землю.

Будущее надежно

Укроет нас в проводах.

Чем станем мы завтра — ветром?

Пустой подвальною тенью?

Об этом знают лишь звезды

Молчащие в небесах.

Когда ангелы жизни и смерти

Уносили нас с поля боя,

Мы всё прожили, мы все спели

В этот строгий утренний час.

Наши флаги метались в объятиях

Невидимого конвоя

Они всегда были с нами,

Но с ними не было прежде нас.

Железные птицы склеют

Осколками гнёзда Ада.

Мы — корм 21-го века

С наколками на стихах.

С какой высоты будем падать?

Что нам станет наградой?

Знают одни только звезды,

Молчащие в небесах.

У прозрачных ручьев чистота

Омоет нам наши раны.

В каждом эхе земли и травы,

В каждом вздохе дрожащих век

Знай, правы все свидетельства древних

От Евангелия до Корана

Что те, кто идут за нами

Найдут тот же самый век

Родившимся этой ночью,

Мы оставляем Землю.

Не смогли мир сделать добрее,

Любовью не стала ты.

Но до конца этого света

Не одному еще дышать поколенью.
