I believed the fairytale once read to me

By those expand as criminals and wannabes

In a land once nice, now lost, not long ago

We shared out bliss we cared

For this is our time

If not now, then when?

Low and behold, the situation seems so cold and dark, we fall

The precipice was unforeseen by some, not all

We can’t go on like this but yet we do

So sad but true

It’s about time we let life begin
