Era uma voz que eu ouvia de longe

Me chamando enquanto amanhecia

Ou era o vento que vinha de fora e arrepiava por dentro

É hora vambora, ela disse: «Vambora!»

E me deu um desenho num papel pequeno

Num céu azul imenso

Acho que era o sonho em que eu voava por alta madrugada

Seus lábios me levavam e ela sussurrava: «Acorda!»

Mas meus olhos se fechavam e assim eu ia

Uma estrada, uma trilha

Lembro que eu andava por veredas macias

Debaixo do cacho da samambaia

Havia um cheiro que me atraia

Eu procurava, meio que me perdia

Mas no calor dos seus braços eu me encontrava

A gente acordava enquanto o sol nascia

Um suspiro e a cortina da janela se debatia

A vela sobre a mesa, a chama ainda acesa (Bom dia!)

E a flor dela se abria

There was a smell that attracted me

I was looking for it, I kind of got lost

But in the warmth of her arms I found myself

We woke up while the sun was rising

A sigh and the window curtain floundered

The candle on the table, the flame still burning (Good morning!)

And her flower would open
