Salió la gallina, salió a pasear

Con sus diez pollitos por el corral

Doña Cocorica les hace ver

Lo que todo pollo debe saber:

Aprendan primero que aquí en el corral

Su padre el Gallo es la autoridad;

A diario, temprano, se oye su voz

Y es porque ordena que salga el Sol

Doña Cocorica se encariñó

Con los diez pollitos que Dios le dió

Apenas salieron del cascarón
