Hyper Aware - Creative Adult

California melts away in the heat

I’m the only one awake on my street

Walk around & I don’t know what to think

Everywhere that I’ve ever been

hasn’t ever been far enough

gust of wind gives another push

takes me back to where I’m from

Day is dragging & I’m always amazed

by the motions & the way that your eyes hang

need a moment to attempt to remain

spend a second in non-linear form

there’s a pattern but we’re never so sure

we can take it / make it hurt us some more

Feel it harder cuz we’re hyper-aware
