What does it all mean?

Is this where I meet my fate?

And where have you been?

I needed you and you turned away

The things that I’ve seen

Remind me I took it for granted

It’s time to come clean

This isn’t what I had intended

But if this life was just a waste, what of my legacy?

Promise you won’t forget me and all I aspired to be

From one plane to the next I just want to make you proud

Laying in sand and stone, my promises disavowed

The battle is not lost but somehow I still feel that I’ve failed

To now give sacrifice, will God commend my soul?

I knew this day would come when through these hardships, I prevailed

Into the next life, I ascend
