Compassion -

Death walks the streets of a city

A city that has forgotten how to care

Indifference breeds the disease

That fills out the air

Have we turned a blind eye

To the sea of escalating poverty

We continue to live our lives

Drowning in despair

Too many living in the streets

Too many dying alone

Point out responsibility

Another blood stain on the hands of society

So we continue to waste our time on solutions impossible to define

While we search for an easy answer

Another gives up the fight

Human Compassion we find against the selfishness

We sit complacent and allow the helpless to die off

Doesn’t matter what you know is wrong
