Come to terms with light and dark.

The presence of one gives weight to the other,

And try not, not to break yourself.

This fight is not your last.

In youth, we praise the moon,

All the stories that we’re told

Our eyes, our skin, they gleam

Turned earth between our toes.

No looks exchanged the night is creeping at our feet.

We pierce the air with warmth,

Every word that we speak.

We are infinite soil envies us.

The sky and sea will meet

But they’ll never touch.

You’re my confidante, my only one.

These numbered days the fight of moon and sun.

You don’t walk your path alone

It’s killing me to know,

That it’s killing you to go

Head first into the night

We will make our escape unknown

If they want, they’ve got a fight

Our eyes against the night

We won’t turn back

It gets harder to breathe with the

Time placed between our hands;

That last time that we spoke.

Well we’re older now and though it hurts,

No taking back, I meant every word I wrote.

We’ve encompassed a notion

That our eyes are all tired

But the truth spans an ocean:

The shadows conspire.

So consult the writings

Our journey is not a waste

Though the end is inviting
