Manchmal bin ich weit weg und dadurch besser dran

Denn ich mach mich frei damit ich all die anderen fesseln kann

Manchmal halt ich gucken was kommt für den besten plan

Denn die weltum mich ringsherum scheint so oft festgefahren

Manchmal steh ich auf brech aus und will dass mich jeder sieht

Lehn mich weit heraus aus protest vielleicht auch aus prinzip

Manchmal stürz ich ab ganz egal wie hart die landung ist

Und lieg am boden und hab genau dadurch land in sicht

Ich hab schon viel gesehen und war oft mehr als dabei

Ich nehm das alles gerne mit aus liebe zum detail

Manchmal seh ich andere leute in ihrem kerker drin

Die nicht wissen ob sie gefangene oder wärter sind

Dann find ich’s gut wenn die drums in meinen liedern härter kling'

Bis meine schwächen mal wieder meine stärken sind

Tja manchmal hab ich mich nicht gern und manchmal viel zu lieb

Mal halt ich mich für das genie und manchmal für' nen freak

Auffallend übermotiviert auch ohne ein motiv

Mit dem kopf durch die wand wo’s keine türen gibt

Manchmal schließ ich mich ein weil ich kein' platz hab

Und manchmal übertreib' ich sinnlose dinge weil ich sie eigentlich satt hab

Mal gibt man viel und manchmal mehr als alles was man hat

Doch den überblick behalten is' echt leicht gesagt

Manchmal verletzt man leute die man echt am meisten mag

Und mal bemerkt man gleich wenn man was falsches macht

Ich hab schon viel gesehen und war oft mehr als dabei

Auch wenn’s jetzt anders kommt ich denk ich weiß bescheid

Then I like it when the drums in my songs sound harder

Until my weaknesses are my strengths again

Well, sometimes I don't like myself and sometimes too much

Sometimes I consider myself a genius and sometimes a freak

Strikingly over-motivated even without a motive

With your head through the wall where there are no doors

Sometimes I lock myself up because I have no space

And sometimes I exaggerate senseless things because I'm actually fed up with them

Sometimes you give a lot and sometimes more than what you have

But keeping an overview is really easy to say

Sometimes you hurt people you really love the most

And sometimes you notice right away when you're doing something wrong

I've seen a lot and was often more than there

Even if things are different now, I think I know
