In mezzo al crepitio

Qua come uno supplica che cerca un Dio

Lassù rullano sorde bombe

Come squassi

Mentre quaggiù

Le mine sono mute tombe

Sotto i passi e giù

E ancora pioggia scura come caffè

Che inzuppa di paura e dietro di sé

Trascina follia sopra il pavé

Di un mondo in agonia

Che alza un lamento sulla scia di un lungo

Requiem

E allora suona forte

Più di così di più e più che puoi

Più forte della morte che è fuori di qui

E dentro di noi

Più in alto sì di tutto quanto poi

Ché qui è la musica che mai morì

Trumpets scream at the crossroads
