Arcade on the Pier - Choke Up

Found an apartment on the outskirts of the waterfront

I know it wasn’t the one we were dreaming of

In the basement of a home owned by an old woman

It’s cold at night but when the wind is right you can hear the ocean

Jenny’s taking classes at the two-year school

I found me a job and put my hands to use

Salt has worn the paint from that stolen Chevrolet

That we left by the pier behind a boarded up arcade

Sometimes I ride out just to see if it’s still there
