In the Wilderness

You were on your own

Everyone’s asleep

And everything is cold

When the lights went out

You would walk around and around

Scared of the dark

Of your childhood towns

It is going to be alright

Just shut your windows tight

And lock your doors at night

Because all the bad things stay outside

At least that’s how it’s been

Just close your eyes and hope they don’t come in
