Yet you’re gone all nice, put your best foot forward

But how long it’s been there, it feels like it ain’t going away

For the longest day

You’re game it’s lame, your rules are getting tame

You’re put on another reel, the outcome is the same once again

Let’s pretend

And days, days don’t mean a thing

And when you ditch it in a diary, if a diary for a brain, but this day

You’re slipping away
