On the burnt and blazing plains

The hard sun withered in our veins

Across the sea the storms grew grim

And circled the sky from rim to rim

With an icy breeze of death

To you who wander desolate

Across this barren wilderness

My heart is darkened with desire

Exhales a black and bitter fire

For all the cursed blood that pours

From the heart of sorrows sword

Before the veil of death

A light 'til our sun grows pale

Mutiny gathers in the storm

Phantoms ghastly and deformed

Above the dead deceitful moon

The compass spells a traitors rune

Fly from life’s deceitful breath

Into this waiting house of death
