un mocito pintorero y presumido

Y a la sombra de aquel limonero

que un día, dichosa, la vió sonreir,

desojando una a una sus penas

igual que una rosa le cantaba así:

a tu vera le dijo un mocito falso y embustero

como a nadie en el mundo he querido,

serrana, te quiero.

Por caminos sembraditos de zarzales

con la cruz de su dolor se echó a rodar

y ahogadita por la hiel de los pesares
