Dayz Go By -

I’m walking alone, I lost my friend

three months have passed, I don’t see an end

it is hard to survive, even harder alone

I feel no remorse and my heart feels like stone

I want to feel, but my brain says don’t

feelings make you weak if you’re out on your own

so no, I don’t really know where to go

there’s nowhere to be, nowhere feels like home

and now, I need food and ammo

watch every step and, watch every shadow

and, I need to keep up I can’t just stop now

I overwatch the town and see the shop is on lock-down

I count, 2, 3, 4, 5

bandits, the whole town looks occupied

suddenly, I hear guns firing

I look closer and see someone running and hiding

a guy came too close, that poor little bastard

he tries to run away, but those bandits are faster

they hit him.

shot him right in the back

one of them walks up to him and shoots him in the head

no mercy, no sympathy, they just drop others dead

and then loot them for every little thing they got left

Why, didn’t I react what have I become?

When in this world have I become so numb?

I could’ve saved him, but somehow I didn’t

I could’ve done something but now he is gone
