Ich stehe dort im Regen

Und warte nur auf dich

Der Wind bläst mir kalt ins Gesicht

Aus Stunden werden Tage

Bin nass bis auf die Haut

Wann endlich hört es denn zu regnen auf

Erst wenn ich nicht mehr warten will

Die Sonne kommt und es wird still

Hab ich ganz unbemerkt den ersten Schritt getan

Ich schau nicht mehr zum Himmel auf

Die grauen Wolken brechen auf

Und plötzlich stehst du dort vor mir

Und es wird warm

Wie lang hab ich gewartet

Und konnt' nicht weiter gehen

Und selbst die Hand vor Augen nicht gesehen

Ich wartete dort draußen

Weiß nicht wie es begann

Es regnete schon seit ich denken kann

The gray clouds break up

It's been raining for as long as I can remember
