Growin' up I’ve seen a lot of things in life

I’ve seen the good

I’ve seen the bad

I’ve seen the happy

And I’ve seen the sad

But through it all, I’m just blessed to be alive man

Now I’ve been ridin' down these roads lookin' for some peace of mind

Steady thinkin' 'bout my future and what would take for me to shine

And I ain’t lookin' for no friends and I ain’t lookin' for no pity

Trust in no one but my family and my dogs that’s ridin' with me

Now these times are lookin' hard and the road is lookin' bumpy

Ain’t no fakin', ain’t no flodgin', I was raised by the country

Carried weight up on my shoulders and it’s been a heavy load

Life in the sticks was all that I know, straight from the rip, that’s where I

Grew up with a mom and dad who gave me a place I could call my own

Tryin' to get my soul in check 'cause dog we livin' in evil days

Momma told me watch the boys 'cause most the boys got evil ways

That’s why lately I’ve been solo 'cause nowadays they be on them no-no's

One day they show you love then the next day they would gossip like homos

It is what it is I guess, you make mistakes, you live and learn

Things don’t come on a silver platter, 'cause in this life good things are

earned

We was taught to work hard, ain’t had no time for slack

Show love to our brothers and sisters and give the shirts off our backs

I tried to stay in church, Lord knows I’m far from perfect

I know God’s got a purpose, he didn’t send me to be worthless

Now that I’m in music seem like nobody want to see me shine

I learned that friends come and go but family lasts a lifetime
