Sometimes I get anxious and fixate on how I wish that I could

Be less apprehensive and start pretending like

The time’s not catching up with me

Before I’m ready

I’m happy for the people who find comfort in a higher power

Feel a sense of purpose in their certainty

That there is more than all of this

It makes me jealous

But just 'cause I’m not saved

In all the ways a person thinks I should be

Doesn’t mean I don’t care if there’s somewhere

That might save a little room for me

So I’m not lonely
