Este ano recebi um presente

Que certamente ninguém teve igual

Fui pra casa despreocupadamente

E junto à árvore de natal

Encontrei um bilhete singelo

Que em poucas palavras dizia:

— Meu amor eu ainda te quero mas por certo lá fora há mais alegria

Como um louco percorri a cidade

A cidade de São Sebastião

Com os olhos derramando lágrimas

E fortes dores em meu coração

No caminho encontrei um amigo

Que me disse:

— Feliz Natal!

Meu desejo é que ninguém tenha

Um outro igual!

This year I received a gift

That certainly no one had the same

I went home carefree

And next to the Christmas tree

I found a single ticket

Which in a few words said:

— My love, I still want you, but there is certainly more joy out there

Like a madman I traveled the city

The city of São Sebastião

With eyes shedding tears

And strong pains in my heart

On the way I found a friend

Who told me:

- Merry Christmas!

My wish is that no one has

Another one just like it!
