My Reflection - Before You Fall

Staring in the dark with a sewn up with withered heart

We must erase the past

Clean the slate wash the blood off of our hands (off our hands)

With the will to outlast

I bear the weight of the past on my weary shoulders (weary shoulders)

The torment we have endured, it consumes us all and our every waking moment

In my dreams all I see is my reflection staring back at me

Telling me that I’ll end up on my own but I’ll die fighting for us

I’ll never turn my back on you

Even when it’s you or I, I’ll take the fall for you

I have nothing to lose but so much to hide

The monsters I fight are the demons inside

They can’t get inside of my mind

With the will to outlast

Living in a dark, cold shell, and the pressure is rising

Hang on with all you’ve got, don’t release the fear of defeat

We must use it to stay up on our own two feet

In my dreams all I see is my reflection staring back at me

Telling me that I’ll end up on my own but I’ll die fighting for us

I’ll never turn my back on you

I’ve laid to rest my regrets

I’ve drowned my baggage and I’m ready to press on

I’ll lead the way just listen to me we can leave this all behind

Despite how the story’s meant to end
