You can’t see my real face

Because I’m pushing

my failures away

I call on my guardian angel

I’m begging and screaming out

loud

Because if this won’t stop it will kill me

My conscience is eating me

out

If I had the guts to confess

The strength just to clean up this

mess

What I would give just to forget

The habits, the hurting, the poison,

the nights out

They are still here, so I think I’ll have to keep

Waiting for something

to stop me

Before I collapse from the weight

The guilt that I’m carrying with

me

My life is filled with lies and filled with persuasions

But underneath I

feel and hear the echo of my soul screaming

Holding on to yesterday

The memories beg me to stay

God, I’m throwing my

Guilt is not easy to hide

With angels and demons inside me

The devil puts up a hard fight

It’s trying to keep the angels out
