You say the young they act so dumb

You give them pills to make them numb

Next thing you know they’re getting stoned

And you punish them ‘cause you say it’s wrong,

Parents fighting every night

The lawyer’s looking for a bite

The son decides to leave his home

And they think he is living like a bum

Your kid got expelled yesterday

Teachers complained he won’t conform

To do the things the right way

It’s a new generation
