Aus dem Libanon nach Deutschland gekomm’n, so mit zehn Jahr’n

Hannover war die erste Stadt, die ich geseh’n habe

Alles war so neu für mich, sogar die Straßenbahn

Ich war ein Kind und wusste nicht mal, dass es sowas gab

Ich dachte immer, hier sieht alles ja so heile aus

Diese gute Welt, womit hab' ich sie verdient?

Und glaube mir, ich bin seit Tag eins in sie verliebt

Neues Leben, neues Glück, also musst' ich deutsch lern’n

Mein erster Satz damals war: «Deutsch ist voll schwer!»

In der erste Zeit war es etwas kompliziert

Doch dann ging es mit der Sprache, es hat funktioniert

Dank der Schule, denn mir wurde da viel beigebracht

Diese Sprache war wie Macht, sie gab mir die Kraft

Mich stets zu integrier’n in dieser neuen Welt

Hier in Deutschland, Österreich bis hin in die Schweiz

Machten hunderte Gigs vor tausenden Menschen

Hätte es nie gedacht, doch der Traum ging zu Ende

Die Bravo-Supershow und The Dome war’n vergessen

Nach der Trennung dacht' ich, die Karriere ist gegessen

Ich hing zwei, drei Jahre nur so rum, hab' gechillt

Ohne Plan, denn ich wusste ja nicht einmal, was ich will

Bis der Tag kam, als ich wieder klar kam

Denn ich wollte ganz alleine jedem zeige hier, was Saad kann
