When I was younger, my parents risked it all

Day by day, they went to work

To support me and my twin brother

I’d like to thank you for giving up your dreams for me

You made me who I am today

And I only wish to make, make you proud of me

Mom and Dad, you gave it all you had

I know it wasn’t easy

Mom and Dad, You’ll always have my back

And I’ll always respect that

Now that I’m older,

I realize how my actions lead my life

You were always protecting, never neglecting

You gave without expecting

Taking hold of both my hands, you would swing me

Warning me to always land on my two feet

It worked out for the better

Although, sometimes we slip away

Mom and Dad, you gave it all you had

I know it wasn’t easy

Mom and Dad, You’ll always have my back

And I’ll always respect that

You taught me to stick up for my thoughts and feelings

Respecting the weak, that all man is made equal

Expecting the worst that this world has to offer
