Under ett meningslöst krig

Då frihet och fred inte gavs

Då kom USA på idén —

Utrota svinen med gas

Ett växtgift som hette «AGENT ORANGE»

Sprutades över Vietnam

När bladen från träden föll av —

Då reste sig stolt USA

Men vems fel var det då att barn

Föddes utan armar och ben

Att riset som åt människorna gavs —

Att det var förgiftat av gas

Att vietnamesiska män

Blev blinda, fick cancer och dog

Först då var det någon som sa —

Detta skyller vi på USA

Men USA dom klarade det igen

Vi minns ju augusti '45

Då flera millioner dog —

Så att USAs forskning fick nog

During a meaningless war

Then freedom and peace were not given

Then the United States came up with the idea -

Exterminate the pigs with gas

A herbicide called «AGENT ORANGE»

Sprayed over Vietnam

When the leaves from the trees fell off -

Then the United States proudly rose

But whose fault was it then that children

Born without arms and legs

That the rice given to the people -

That it was poisoned by gas

That Vietnamese men

Became blind, got cancer and died

Only then did someone say -

We blame this on the United States

But the United States did it again

We remember August '45

When several million died -

So that US research got enough
