Vi sitter där och lyssnar på politikernas tal

Vi sitter där och jublar när dom vinner sina val

Sen sitter vi där i flera år och lider alla kval

Sen är det dags för nya tal

Patriot så klart, det ska man va

Sverige är vackert, Sverige är bra

Här vill vi dö och ingen annanstans

Men drömmarna, dom har vi på Tahiti någonstans

Av allt jag har sett

Så är det mesta snett

Svenska kyrkans roll och dess heliga ord

Att sprida guds frid och fred på vår jord

Dom tvår sina händer över freden dom spritt

Medans aktierna i Bofors gör sitt

Morsan jobbar dag, farsan jobbar natt

Av båda deras löner går hälften till skatt

Det ena går till upprustning, en del gå till religion

Samtidigt som jag går i fredsdemonstration

Av allt jag har sett

Så är det mesta snett

We sit there and listen to the politicians' speeches

We sit there and cheer when they win their elections

Then we sit there for several years and suffer all the qualifiers

Then it's time for new speeches

Patriot of course, you should

Sweden is beautiful, Sweden is good

Here we want to die and nowhere else

But the dreams, we have them in Tahiti somewhere

Of everything I've seen

So most things are wrong

The role of the Church of Sweden and its sacred words

To spread God's peace and tranquility on our earth
