Y en a qui sont trottins

Ou bien vendeuses et par nature

Y en a qui sont mannequins

Y en a qui font des corsages

D’autres qui font des surjets

Moi mesdames messieurs mon ouvrage

C’est d’faire les robes en biais

Pour bien biaiser une robe, ma foi

Y en a pas deux pas deux comme moi

Je biaise du soir au matin

Les veillées c'était mon bonheur

J’suis pas pour la journée d’huit heures

Et le travail de nuit ne m’fait pas peur

Pour mon métier j’ai le béguin

Quand mes parents m’voient pas rentrer

Y disent: «Y a pas à s’inquiéter

Elle est encore en train d’biaiser»

Quand j’entrai dans la partie

C’fut une révolution

Dès l’commencement je m’suis sentie

Une très grande vocation

La première fois comme d’usage

Y eut du tirage un peu

Mais quand j’eus perdu mon tirage

Je m’y mis avec feu

A mon métier je prenais goût

J’voulais biaiser un peu partout

Je travaille hors du magasin

J’emporte de l’ouvrage quand il faut

Je biaise en voiture en auto

Une fois même j’ai biaisé dans l’métro

Avec ardeur avec entrain

Mais l’docteur qu’est v’nu l’autre matin

M’a ordonné des tas d’sirop

M’a dit qu’il fallait prendre du r’pos

Ben…

Il a trouvé que j’biaisais trop

Je vais m’installer bien vite

Me marier, quel bonheur !

Avec un jeune homme plein d’mérite

Qui est ouvrier plisseur

Pour nous installer à l’aise

Comme nous n’avons pas l’sou

Je biaiserai d’abord sur une chaise

Et lui plissera tout doux

L’principal c’est qu’y ait pas d’retard

Qu’on dise pas que je biaise en canard

Mon homme plissera dans l’magasin

C’est ça qui s’ra gentil ma foi

On fera tout l’ouvrage chez moi

En s’entraidant comme chacun le doit
