Sedeva il pescatore

all’ombra della vela,

lenta scivolava la barca

sopra il fiume,

lungo le due rive

solo alberi fioriti

mentre si smarriva

e dimenticava il tempo del suo viaggio…

Sereno navigava

quando all’improvviso

il fiume si nascose in una gola scura

e si fece notte

sin che il monte non si apr

e gli apparve allora

fra le nuvol, sconosciuta una pianura…

L’isola, sconosciuta l’isola

ora la vedeva… cos vicina.

Ed il fiume allora

lui felice risal

certo di potere

ritrovare un giorno la traccia del suo viaggio…

All’ombra della vela

lasciando scivolare la barca lungo il fiume,

ma la via per l’isola

lui non seppe ritrovare,

mentre navigava

sempre pi svaniva il ricordo del suo viaggio…

ora la vedeva… cos vicina.

slow glided the boat

over the river,

along the two banks

only flowering trees

as he got lost

and forgot the time of his journey ...

Serene sailed

when suddenly

the river hid in a dark gorge

and night fell

until the mountain opened

and it appeared to him then

among the clouds, a plain unknown ...

The island, the island unknown

now he saw her… so close.

And the river then

he happily went up

sure of power

one day find the trace of his journey ...

In the shadow of the sail

sat the fisherman,

letting the boat slide down the river,

but the way to the island

he could not find,

while he sailed

the memory of his trip faded more and more ...
