When I left home,

I left it all behind.

Left all I’ve ever known,

To live on my own dime.

Hopped a plane.

Crossed borders.

Gonna make my name

Taking my own orders.

To live is to learn and

To learn is to grow.

I’d rather build than burn

A bridge to where I want to go.

My, oh my, how good it feels to just live my life.

To wake up every day knowing that I can change.

If there is a problem, solve it;

if it breaks, just fix it.

Each new day is a new memory waiting to be made.

I’ve been shaped as much by those I’ve left as those I’ve kept.

I’ll never forget where I’m from but I love the man that I’ve become.

I gather around me those who make me feel complete,
