Лесною стороною

Под ясной звездою

Тропою оленя

Гуляет Емеля.

И все ему рады —

Звери, птицы и гады,

Деревья и травы,

Поля и дубравы.

Покуда есть силы,

Покуда есть духу,

Не порваны жилы,

Не вспорото брюхо.

Покуда есть мочи,

Покуда есть семя,

Орет и хохочет,

Гуляет Емеля.

И славит свободу

Сквозь дыбы изгибы

На радость народу,

Себе на погибель.
