Es ist November und der Regen

Kriecht durch die Kleider auf die Haut

Ich geh alleine auf den Wegen

Die mir vom Sommer her vertraut

Wem wohl die kalten Tage nützen?

Was gestern lebte ist heut taub

Und in den schmutziggrauen Pfützen

Ertrinkt der Bäume welkes Laub

Was ist das Ziel in diesem Spiel

Das der Natur seit je gefiel?

An ein paar Zweigen hängen Blätter

Die heut Nacht der Wind vergaß

Den Pavillon versperren Bretter

Wo manches Liebespärchen saß

Sogar die Nester in den Bäumen

Sind ohne Leben, ohne Sinn

Und mir alleine bleibt das Träumen

Weil ich ein Mensch mit Träumen bin

Was ist das Ziel…

Ich bin auf einmal so alleine

Wo ist das Glück, das hier begann?

Die kahlen Bäume und die Steine

Die schaun mich durch den Regen an

Ich suche oben in den Sternen

Ein wenig Trost für mein Geschick

Doch der, der Trost sucht, sollte lernen

Er ist vergänglich wie das Glück

Was ist das Ziel…

Doch aus Verzweiflung wächst das Hoffen

Das uns die Kraft zum Atmen schenkt

Zwar bleiben viele Wünsche offen

Weil irgendwer das Schicksal lenkt

Solange hier bei uns auf Erden

Man einen Hauch von Leben spürt

Sorgt das Schicksal für das Werden

Und gibt das Glück, wem Glück gebührt

Das ist das Ziel in diesem Spiel

That nature has always liked?

Leaves are hanging from a few branches

That the wind forgot tonight

Planks block the pavilion

Where many lovers sat

Even the nests in the trees

Are without life, without meaning

And I'm the only one left with dreams

Because I'm a person with dreams

What is the goal…

All of a sudden I'm so alone

Where is the happiness that began here?

The bare trees and the stones

They look at me through the rain

I'm looking up in the stars

A little consolation for my fate

But he who seeks consolation should learn

It is ephemeral like happiness

What is the goal…

But hope grows out of desperation

That gives us the strength to breathe

Many wishes remain unfulfilled

Because someone controls destiny

As long as we are here on earth

You can feel a touch of life

Destiny takes care of becoming

And gives happiness where happiness is due

That is the goal in this game

That which nature has always liked
