Иван Бодхидхарма движется с юга

На крыльях весны;

Он пьет из реки,

В которой был лед.

Он держит в руках географию

Всех наших комнат,

Квартир и страстей;

И белый тигр молчит,

И синий дракон поет;

Он вылечит тех, кто слышит,

И может быть тех, кто умен;

И он расскажет тем, кто хочет все знать,

Историю светлых времен.

Он движется мимо строений, в которых

Стремятся избегнуть судьбы;

Он легче, чем дым;

Сквозь пластмассу и жесть

Иван Бодхидхарма склонен видеть деревья

Там, где мы склонны видеть столбы;

И если стало светлей,

То, видимо, он уже здесь;

Он вылечит тех, кто слышит,

И, может быть тех, кто умен;

И он расскажет тем, кто хочет все знать,

Историю светлых времен.

Ivan Bodhidharma moves from the south

On the wings of spring;

He drinks from the river

Apartments and passions;

And the white tiger is silent,

He moves past buildings in which

Strive to avoid fate;

It is lighter than smoke;

Through plastic and tin

Ivan Bodhidharma tends to see trees

Where we tend to see pillars;

And if it became brighter

Then, apparently, he is already here;

He will heal those who hear

And maybe those who are smart;

And he will tell those who want to know everything,

The history of bright times.
