Ein Winter, so unsagbar kalt

Umarmt mein Kristallherz, so alt

Doch Frühling, mit fleißiger Hand

Sät Blumen und Grün

Über einst totes Land

Und tief in mir schmilzt jedes Eis

Zu Flüssen aus Farben

Weder schwarz noch weiß

Und manchmal, da denk' ich an dich

Und plötzlich da fühle ich mich

Ganz winterlich…

A winter so unbelievably cold

Embrace my crystal heart so old

But spring, with a busy hand

Sow flowers and greenery

About once dead land

And deep inside me every ice melts

To rivers of colors

Neither black nor white

And sometimes, I think of you

And suddenly there I feel

Quite wintry...
