Lo diceva mio padre

parlando del suo vicino

e io gia imparavo

il suo grido di guerra.

Ho ascoltato altre volte

lo stesso grido

per motivi diversi,

a volte scarsi, a volte forti,

quasi sempre inutili

ma da ogni parte

era sempre lo stesso

«PREGO DIO, CON TUTTO ME STESSO CHE QUELL’UOMO SIA CANCELLATO DALLA TERRA».

Ritengo la guerra inevitabile

almeno finche duri quest’invocazione

ed è per questo ke io prego l’uomo perche risolva dei quesiti più veri

«PREGO L’UOMO, CON TUTTO ME STESSO PERCHE' DIO SIA CANCELLATO DAI CIELI».

I have listened to other times

the same cry

for different reasons,

sometimes scarce, sometimes strong,

almost always useless

but everywhere

it was always the same
