In diesen Duft Unendlichkeit, so bleib' ich stehn', und lasse mich umwehn' von

einer Pracht

Die sorgenvoll dahingebracht in einer Nacht, in Licht erdacht, und neu entfacht,

in Widerstreit

Und Trunkenheit, im wogend' Trug der Sinne, so bezwinge den Höhenflug

Narziss, ertrink' in deinem Abbild.

Ergriffen weilt, gespiegelt scheint, und reich verziert, vom Wind verteilt.

Verkettet dann, und

Ungeweint, nur Lust gebiert, den Traum regiert, das Selbst beschwört,

und ungehört

Emporgeschwungen, das Ich betört, und segensreich, im Traum gestört,

ein Lied gesungen

Das unverklungen, den Himmeln gleicht, das Herz erreicht, und ungezwungen

Pfadverschlungen, und dann verstört, in Tiefen reicht, vom Ich betört,

das Selbst beschwört

Narziss, ertrink' in deinem Abbild

Narziss ertrinke.
