Шумел камыш, деревья гнулись,

А ночка темная была.

Одна возлюбленная пара

Всю ночь гуляла до утра.

А поутру они проснулись,

Кругом помятая трава.

Да не одна трава помята, —

Помята девичья краса.

Приду домой, а дома спросят:

«Где ночь гуляла, с кем была?»

А я скажу: «В саду гуляла,

Домой тропинки не нашла».

Шумел камыш, деревья гнулись,

А ночка темная была.

Одна возлюбленная пара

Всю ночь гуляла до утра.

The reeds rustled, the trees bent,

And the night was dark.

One loving couple

She walked all night until morning.

And in the morning they woke up

Broken grass all around.

Yes, not one grass is dented, -

Rumpled girlish beauty.

I will come home, and at home they will ask:

“Where did the night walk, with whom was it?”

And I will say: “I walked in the garden,

I didn’t find a path home.”

The reeds rustled, the trees bent,
