If you’re going down

You’ll be going down without me

Because we’ll be in fat heaven, eating and pleased

Unceremoniously

Tossing my favorite hoodie

Into a Texas dumpster

With a whole bowl of chocolate hearts

On the table next to where I slept last night

Even the bees give us honey

But then the ants come marching in

The air in that place made old tattoos scab

Like they were fresh as ones put on this morning

If I pretend

To like those books again

Put me in Doddridge County

With a ribbon in my hair
