Eins und eins, das macht zwei,

Drum küss und denk' nicht dabei,

Denn denken schadet der Illusion.

Alles dreht sich, dreht sich im Kreis,

Und kommst du mal aus dem Gleis,

War’s eben Erfahrung

— anstatt Offenbarung —

Was macht das schon.

Der Mensch an sich ist einsam

Und bleibt verlassen zurück.

Sucht man sich nicht gemeinsam

Ein kleines Stück von dem Glück;

Dem Glück, das man mit Füßen

Ein ganzes Leben lang trat,

Das man mit ein paar Küssen

Plötzlich zuhause hat.

Eins und eins, das macht zwei,

Ein Herz ist immer dabei,

Und wenn du Glück hast, dann sind es zwei.

Das Rezept wird keiner erfinden,

Das wird keiner ergründen,

Mal bleibt’s für's Leben

Und mal bleibt es eben nur Liebelei.

Der Mensch an sich ist feige

Und schämt sich für sein Gefühl,

Dass es nur keiner zeige,

Weil die Moral es so will.

Doch wenn im Fall des Falles

Er sich im Dunkeln versteckt,

Der liebe Gott sieht alles

Und hat ihn längst entdeckt.

Eins und eins, das macht zwei,

Drum küss und lächle dabei,

Wenn dir auch manchmal zum Heulen ist.

Glücklich, wer das Heute genießt

Und, was vorbei ist, vergisst.

Es kommt, wie es kommen muss:

Erst kommt der erste Kuss,

Dann kommt der letzte Kuss,

Dann der Schluss.

So kiss and don't think about it

Because thinking harms the illusion.

Everything turns, turns in circles,

And if you ever get off track,

It was just experience

— instead of revelation —

What does it matter.

Man himself is lonely

And stays behind.

Don't look for each other together

A little piece of happiness;

The happiness you walk with your feet

a whole life,

The one with a few kisses

Suddenly at home.

One and one makes two

A heart is always there

And if you're lucky, it'll be two.

Nobody will invent the recipe

Nobody will fathom that

Sometimes it stays for life

And sometimes it just remains flirtation.

Man himself is a coward

And is ashamed of his feelings

So that nobody shows it

Because morality dictates it.

But if in the worst case

He hides in the dark

The good Lord sees everything

And discovered it long ago.

One and one makes two

So kiss and smile

Even if you sometimes feel like crying.

Happy are those who enjoy today

And forget what's over.

It comes, as it must:

First comes the first kiss

Then comes the last kiss

Then the end.
