Zola Jesus , real name Nika Roza Danilova, is an American singer of Russian descent, born April 11, 1989. Her work combines elements of alternative, electronic, metal, and gothic rock. Over the course of her career, she has released four EPs and five full-length albums, all of which have received generally positive reviews from critics. Zola Jesus was one of the musical discoveries of 2011. Her sixth album was scheduled for release on September 8, 2017. Zola Jesus has made a significant contribution to the development of experimental music, fusing genres and creating a unique sound.
