Yazoo is an English new wave electronic duo formed in 1981 in Basildon, Essex, by keyboardist and songwriter Vince Clarke and vocalist Alison Moyet. Their debut single, "Only You", reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart, setting the stage for the success of follow-up hits like "Don’t Go" and their albums Upstairs at Eric's and You and Me Both. The duo disbanded in 1983, with Moyet pursuing a solo career and Clarke forming Erasure. In 2008, Yazoo briefly reunited for tours in the US and UK, leaving a lasting impact on electronic pop music.
