Xiii. Stoleti is a Czech band formed in 1989, performing gothic rock with elements of post-punk and hard rock. The band was formed from the punk band Hrdinové Nové Fronty . Vocalist Petr Štěpán and drummer Pavel Štěpán remain permanent members. The band's songs feature mysticism and images of historical and literary figures such as Friedrich Nietzsche, Andy Warhol, Lady Macbeth, and Nicolo Paganini. Xiii. Stoleti made a significant contribution to the development of gothic rock, becoming one of the genre's key bands in the Czech Republic.
