
Wilko Johnson (born July 12, 1947, UK – died November 21, 2022) was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and occasional actor. He rose to prominence as a member of the pub rock/rhythm and blues band Dr. Feelgood in the 1970s. Wilko Johnson was distinguished by his unique guitar style, using fingerstyle picking instead of a pick, allowing him to simultaneously perform rhythm and lead guitar. His contributions to the development of pub rock and rhythm and blues have made him an iconic figure in British musical history.
