Warren Ellis is an Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer born in 1965. He is best known for his work with the bands Dirty Three , Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds , and Grinderman . Along with Nick Cave , he created soundtracks for films such as "The Proposition" and "The Road" Ellis plays a variety of instruments, including violin, piano, bouzouki, and mandolin. His performances with Dirty Three are known for their eccentric and engaging commentary between songs. Today, he lives in Paris with his wife and two children, continuing to make significant contributions to the soundtrack genre.
