Wang Chung is a British new wave band formed in 1980. The group achieved its greatest success in the United States between 1984 and 1987, with five songs reaching the top 40 on the US charts. In their home country, the United Kingdom, only one hit, "Dance Hall Days", made it to the top 40. Wang Chung toured extensively in the US, including major tours with The Cars in 1984 and Tina Turner in 1986. Their contributions to the new wave and pop genres remain a notable part of 1980s music history.
