Владимир Пресняков старший (born March 26, 1946) is a Soviet and Russian composer, arranger, and saxophonist from Russia. He is an Honored Artist of Russia and an Honored Artist of Russia. Пресняков is known for his contribution to Russian pop music and as the husband of Elena Petrovna Presnyakova, the lead singer of the VIA " Самоцветы ." The father of singer Владимира Преснякова-младшего and grandfather of actor and singer Никиты Преснякова , he played an important role in the development of musical culture in the USSR and Russia. His work left a significant mark on Russian pop music.
