Although his career began in the United States and England, he found his greatest success in France. Leading his band, The Playboys, he primarily performed cover versions of rock and roll hits. His original song, "Brand New Cadillac", was later famously covered by The Clash on their album "London Calling". Vince Taylor also served as an inspiration for David Bowie's iconic character Ziggy Stardust. He remains a notable figure in the history of rock music.
