Весёлые ребята (The Jolly Fellows) was a Soviet and Russian vocal and instrumental ensemble founded in 1966. The group's founder and longtime leader was People's Artist of Russia Павел Слободкин . The group performed songs in the Russian pop genre and gained widespread popularity thanks to hits such as «Алёшкина любовь» «Напиши мне письмо» ," «Бродячие артисты» and «Как прекрасен этот мир» . Весёлые ребята made a significant contribution to the development of Soviet and Russian pop music, remaining one of the most recognizable ensembles of its time.
