
US5 is an American-German pop group formed in 2005 as part of the reality show "Big in America" on the German television channel RTL II. Based in Berlin, the group consisted of members from various countries: Chris Vautrin, Michael Johnson, Jay Cann, Richie Stringini, and Izzy Gallegos. In 2007, Michael Johnson left the group and was replaced by Vincent Thomas, and in 2008, Chris Vautrin was replaced by Casey Clayton. US5 achieved popularity in Germany, the UK, Poland, Switzerland, and Japan, selling over 2.5 million records. In 2006, the group performed at the Muz-TV Awards in Moscow. US5 contributed to the development of dance-pop music in the 2000s.
