Урфин Джюс was a Soviet rock band from Sverdlovsk, formed in 1980. The band's name was inspired by a character from A. Volkov's book "Urfin Jus and His Wooden Soldiers." The band played Russian rock and was active until 1991. Урфин Джюс made a significant contribution to the development of rock music in the USSR, becoming one of the most prominent representatives of the Sverdlovsk rock scene. Their work was distinguished by profound lyrics and an original sound, which earned the band a cult status among fans of the genre.
